Median Wage Updates

As of May 31, 2023, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) has updated the median hourly wages required to determine the stream of a Labour Market Impact Assessment (low-wage or high-wage). While median wages in Alberta did not change and decreased in Nunavut, all other provinces and territories saw a median wage increase.

ESDC will work with employers over the next 90 days to assist with the impact of these changes.
