Genevieve Giesbrecht

Associate Lawyer

Genevieve’s practice is predominately in the areas of temporary residence applications, including study permits, temporary residence visas and temporary residence permits. She also helps clients to navigate the changing landscape of border restrictions and quarantine measures as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to joining BartLAW, Genevieve articled with a full-service immigration firm in downtown Toronto. She worked on a variety of files including matters at the Immigration and Refugee Board, Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, temporary and permanent residence files as well as inadmissibility issues. She also completed a term at the Refugee Law Office in Toronto.

Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Genevieve completed her Juris Doctor (JD) from Osgoode Hall Law School where she graduated in the top 4% of her class.
