Express Entry Update
On April 29th 2021, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued a new round of invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system.
Today’s draw invited candidates who qualify for selection under the Canadian Experience Class. The minimum score selected was 400, and 6,000 candidates were invited to apply.
The minimum scores required for selection under the Canadian Experience Class category continue to decrease. This week’s cut off score is down 17 points from the minimum score selected in the April 16th 2021 draw, which was 417. IRCC continues to hold large draws under this category, with 6,000 new candidates invited today. Should this trend continue, we expect scores may fall below 400 in the next draw.
In order to qualify for selection under the Canadian Experience Class, candidates must have at least one year of full-time skilled work experience in Canada within the last three years. We strongly recommend that applicants who meet the Canadian Experience Class criteria take advantage of this opportunity to qualify for permanent residence.
