Express Entry activity in May 2026 continued to reflect the federal government’s increasingly selective approach to economic immigration, with draws focused exclusively on Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

May 27, 2026 – Canadian Experience Class: 3,000 invitations issued, minimum CRS score 518
May 25, 2026 – Provincial Nominee Program: 334 invitations issued, minimum CRS score 805
May 11, 2026 – Provincial Nominee Program: 380 invitations issued, minimum CRS score 798

The absence of broader all-program draws further reinforces the trend toward more targeted selection categories aligned with labour market priorities and retention of in-Canada talent.
