Express Entry Draws – September 2026

Recent Express Entry draws illustrate the range of approaches IRCC is using to select candidates for permanent residence. In addition to regular Canadian Experience Class draws, September has included category-based invitations for healthcare and social services occupations, physicians and senior managers with Canadian work experience, as well as a Provincial Nominee Program draw.

September 16, 2026 – Senior Managers with Canadian Work Experience: 250 invitations issued, minimum CRS score 389
September 15, 2026 – Canadian Experience Class: 2,000 invitations issued, minimum CRS score 519
September 14, 2026 – Provincial Nominee Program: 576 invitations issued, minimum CRS score 734
September 4, 2026 – Healthcare and Social Services Occupations: 3,500 invitations issued, minimum CRS score 475
September 3, 2026 – Physicians with Canadian Work Experience: 229 invitations issued, minimum CRS score 198
September 1, 2026 – Canadian Experience Class: 2,000 invitations issued, minimum CRS score 521

The range of CRS thresholds also shows why the applicable Express Entry category can be as important as a candidate’s overall CRS score. While the CEC draws in September had thresholds above 500, some targeted categories invited candidates at considerably lower scores. The recent draws therefore highlight the importance of assessing an applicant’s profile against the categories and selection criteria used in each round.
