Rachel Bendayan Appointed Canada’s Minister of Immigration

Mark Carney, Canada’s newly appointed Prime Minister, has announced his cabinet in preparation for the upcoming 2025 federal election, including changes to the leadership of the immigration portfolio.

Rachel Bendayan, Member of Parliament for Outremont, Quebec, has been appointed as Canada’s Minister of Immigration, succeeding Marc Miller. In her new role, she will oversee the country’s immigration policies and initiatives as the head of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
