New Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots Launching in 2025

Canada’s highly anticipated new caregiver immigration programs are set to open on March 31, 2025. Officially named the Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots, these new pathways will replace the previous caregiver programs that closed in June 2024.

Initially announced on June 3, 2024, the enhanced programs aim to provide a more streamlined and effective route to permanent residency for caregivers. While full details and eligibility requirements have yet to be released, the government has emphasized that the pilots will help address Canada’s increasing demand for skilled caregivers in both home and community-based settings.
