Upcoming Increase in IRCC Inadmissibility Fees

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has announced that fees for specific inadmissibility-related applications will increase effective December 1, 2024. This adjustment will apply to the following application types:

• Restoration of temporary resident status (for visitors, students, and workers)
• Authorization to return to Canada
• Criminal rehabilitation (including for serious criminality)
• Temporary resident permits

This marks the second consecutive year these fees are being adjusted, following a similar increase in December 2023. Although IRCC has not yet disclosed the revised fee amounts, applicants should anticipate higher costs starting next month.
