New Opportunities for Icelandic Youth

Canada and Iceland signed a new Youth Mobility Agreement on August 4, 2023, allowing young people from both countries expanded opportunities to travel and work abroad.

Beginning in 2024, Icelandic young people ages 18-30 will be eligible to apply under the Canadian International Experience Class for a work permit of up to 12 months. There may be an opportunity to obtain a second work permit for the same duration.
