New Verified Traveller Program

Beginning June 21, 2023, Canada will introduce new Verified Traveller screening lines to replace its current Trusted Traveller program.

Eligible Verified Travellers will be able to go through security screening more efficiently, keeping large electronics and carry-on sized liquids and gels in their bags. Travellers will no longer need to remove shoes, light jackets, or belts.

This program will be available at Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Montreal airports for domestic and international checkpoints. Eligible travellers include members of Nexus, the Canadian Armed Forces, Canadian and international aircrew, and select law enforcement officers, as well as children (17 and younger) and seniors (75 and older) accompanying members of the program.

Some additional benefits, such as front-of-line service and efficient screening for flights to the US, will also be available at select airports.
