Express Entry Update: Health Care Professionals, French-Speakers and Provincial Nominees Targeted

Recently, IRCC has issued three (3) new rounds of invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system.

On October 24, 2023, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued a round of invitations to candidates under the Provincial Nominee category. This draw invited 1,548 candidates to apply. The minimum score required for selection was 776 points. In order to be eligible for selection, candidates must have a certificate of nomination from a province or territory.

On October 25, 2023, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued a round of invitations to candidates with French language proficiency. This draw invited 300 candidates to apply. The minimum score required for selection was 486 points. Invitations were issued to candidates under all Express Entry program categories, provided they had achieved the required French language proficiency scores.

On October 26, 2023, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued a round of invitations to candidates with experience in specified health care occupations. This draw invited 3,600 candidates to apply. The minimum score required for selection was 431 points. Invitations were issued to candidates under all Express Entry program categories, provided they had the required health care occupation experience.

In addition to health care professionals and French-speaking candidates, IRCC has also been selecting candidates in the trades, STEM occupations, transport, and agriculture/agri-food occupations in targeted draws this year.
